DESCRIPTION:Since 1839\, the Detroit Boat Club Crew has served as the home for rowing in Detroit. This year\, we celebrate the return of the historic Oarsmen鈥檚 Ball\, a fundraiser to support Friends of Detroit Rowing (FODR)鈥檚 campaign to build a new shellhouse that will help increase public access to the Detroit River and the sport of rowing. \nJoin us at the Dossin Museum for a black-tie optional shin-dig where you can explore the exhibits\, stroll the halls\, sample hors d鈥檕euvres\, listen to jazz music\, bid on a silent auction\, enjoy the cash bar\, or meet an old Olympian or two. \nHelp make a significant impact on our community and the future of rowing. Funds raised will help ensure the success of FODR鈥檚 Share an Oar\, Share the Shore Campaign. Together\, we can inspire a new generation of rowers and ensure everyone can experience the beauty of the Detroit River.
