鈥泪f you live in Martinique, you have a few of these cocktails a day. Three simple ingredients 鈥 Agricole Rum, cane syrup, and lime 鈥 are in every facet of your life. Sounds amazing? Luckily, American Fifth of Lansing makes a similar style of rum (it uses fresh cane juice instead of molasses) for this classic drink. If you substitute any other rum, just call it a Ti Punch.鈥

Model Ti Punch

Ingredients

2陆 ounces American Fifth Turtleback White Rum

录 ounce cane syrup* with a 50/50 percent solution of syrup and hot water, stirred and cooled

录 ounce tart cherry juice

1 fat round of lime peel (with some of the juicy bits)

Directions

Put everything in a stemless wineglass, making sure to squeeze the lime peel into the glass. Place a swizzle stick between your hands like you are starting a fire in the Boy Scouts and rub back and forth quickly. If you don鈥檛 have swizzle sticks, you can substitute a tall bar spoon.

*(Check the oatmeal aisle at the grocery store if you can鈥檛 find it.)
