is returning next month with an exciting lineup of winter activities.听Taking place Feb. 2-4 in and around the Royal Oak City Center and Centennial Commons, the festival will feature plenty of family-friendly music, food, and entertainment.
This year鈥檚 Winter Blast musical headliners include local group pop-rock group Killer Flamingos, R&B artist Alise King, and Lyons Lane. DJs will also be spinning each evening, and a Kid鈥檚 Stage will offer entertainment like the Randyl Lee Magic Show, juggler Tim Salisbury, and Nat Spinz Hula Hoops. Plus, an ice sculpture garden.
For drinks and eats, the festival has put together a food truck rally, which will include Bowdler鈥檚 Concessions, Cinnabon, Imperial Tacos, Mr. Deep Fried, and more. Marshmallow roasting stations will also be located throughout the festival. S鈥檓ores kits start at $3.
There are also some thrilling attractions, including a 300-foot long, 34-foot-high zip line that offers panoramic views of the Winter Blast. Tickets are $15 per ride or two rides for $25.
Additionally, the festival will offer free ice skating, with a $5 charge for rental skates, at the M3 Rink in Centennial Commons.听Mt. Brighton will also be joining in on the fun again this year. Beginner skiers and snowboarders will have the opportunity to grow their skills while riding on snow made by the resort鈥檚 snowmaking system.
Finally, new for this year, Winter Blast will host a Medieval Village that features everything from jousting and axe throwing to archery and fire eaters. And there will be a karaoke competition that offers more than $2,000 in cash and prizes, too.
Winter Blast will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Feb. 2, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Feb. 3, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 4. Admission is free.
